Luna a Leading Advocate for Healthy Farm and Food Agenda
Mexico, Missouri –Today, Farm Action Fund’s Rural Independence Initiative announced its endorsement of Rep. Anna Paulina Luna’s re-election to the U.S. House of Representatives for Florida’s 10th Congressional district. The Rural Independence Initiative focuses on electing the best federal candidates, regardless of political affiliation, who support local farmers, rural America, and healthy food and challenge corporate monopolies.
Farm Action President and fourth generation farmer Joe Maxwell said, “Anna Paulina Luna has courageously led the fight against corporate monopolies looking to harm our farmers and consumers. She has been an instrumental force behind opposition to granting Bayer Monsanto immunity from pesticide lawsuits. We applaud her opposition to China-owned Smithfield’s effort to override state laws on food safety and animal welfare. We urge Florida voters to re-elect her.”
