Endorsements Highlight Candidates Challenging Corporate Consolidation
Mexico, Missouri –Today, Farm Action Fund’s Rural Independence Initiative announced a slate of bipartisan endorsements for candidates fighting for rural America. The Rural Independence Initiative focuses on electing the best federal candidates, regardless of political affiliation, who support local farmers, rural America, and healthy food.
Farm Action Fund President and fourth generation farmer Joe Maxwell said, “We are proud to be among the few true bipartisan groups to support leaders — of any party or no party — who will work across the aisle and take on corporate power to restore fair markets, fight for a fair shot for America’s working families, and build a healthy food system. This outstanding group of candidates have placed a priority on helping our family farmers and reviving rural America. They have taken courageous stances against corporate meatpackers squeezing our ranchers, opposing immunity for pesticide companies like Bayer Monsanto, and fighting for working families.”
